Redken Artist Connection Worldwide 2020: Bigger and Better than Ever!

The Redken Artist Connection Worldwide –or RAC, as all the attending seasoned stylists say–, was nothing short of spectacular. As an industry leader in innovation and education, it’s no surprise that RAC 2020 was bigger and better than ever.

At the renowned Fontainebleau Miami, over 900 Redken Artists and top Redken salon stylists, and brand ambassadors all gathered for 2 days of hands-on training to kick off the new year.

Focusing on industry trends and latest techniques, top Redken Artists like Sam Villa, Ruth Roche and Chris Baran geared up for a weekend of education, empowerment and fun!

We’re so excited for this year’s RAC! RAC is a powerful, one-of-a-kind event that brings the global Redken Artist Network together for an immersive experience where we share new brand innovations, inspire each other and challenge ourselves to learn and grow. The theme of Redken Education – ‘Learn Better, Earn Better, Live Best’ – resonated throughout RAC 2020, with classes and seminars focused on bettering the beauty professional through best-in-class education, business guidance, social media and personal growth,” said Suzanne Sturm, VP of Redken Education, US. Strum is humble about her massive impact on Redken Professional education, but her team was eager and overjoyed as they watched Strum step out from behind the scenes and make her efforts and presence known.

The festivities began with an extravagant runway show, complete with dancers, and showcasing many of the teams latest NAHA entries, creative collaborations, at a hip nightclub. Bold colors and modern shapes scaled the runway from industry icons like Sam Villa and Justin Isaac.

Boasting all hands-on training for every attendee, Redken troops were up with the rising sun to begin their day of intensive education. And, in true Redken fashion, every detail was pristine. Stylists were outfitted with mannequins, tools, and of course, all the hottest new products that Redken is launching in 2020. Watch for new releases this Spring as Redken launches, not one, but two new dry shampoos, ‘Deep Clean‘ and ‘Invisible Dry‘, and the debut of Redken’s first specialized treatment line ‘Extreme Length‘, a biotin infused treatment set to hit the salons in March 2020.

But haircare and styling isn’t the only thing Redken is bringing in the new year. With new ground breaking formulas, ShadesEQ will be welcoming a matte collection of tones to its already thriving line of every stylists favorite toner. A new ash brown family of permanent color will also expand the Cover Fusion and Gel Lacquer lines.

To cap off the evening, RAC attendees actually out on a grand finale of a show: The Biannual Redken Lip Syn Battle! With 15 teams from all over the world, stylists all performed their most impressive lip sync skills and dance moves, from Freddie Mercury to the Miami Beach Boys, to ABBA and the Troll’s theme, the performances were the highlight of all attending. And the newest members to join the Redken family, Mizani, definitely brought the heat with a rendition of TLC’s Creep that had the entire club dancing. But before the battle went down, GM of Redken, Leslie Marino, delivered a heart-felt speech thanking the entire Redken Tribe for being the best, the most passionate, and also honored long-time employee, Sandra James, for her 44 years in charge of education for the brand. Truly a beautiful honor and a show of family love from the whole Redken Tribe!
