A New Decade Brings New Elements to an Iconic Event: Save the Date for 8th Annual Beauty Changes Lives Experience 2020

On Sunday, April 19, 2020, the eighth annual Beauty Changes Lives Experience will merge legacy elements of a signature evening with new experiences for a one-of-a-kind celebration.

Held during America’s Beauty Show, the event will return to The Geraghty event venue in Chicago. Serving as the primary fundraising event for Beauty Changes Lives, a non-profit 501c3, the Beauty Changes Lives Experience unites brands, licensed professionals, salons, students and influencers to celebrate licensed artists’ success, while providing a platform to mentor and spotlight emerging talent.

Organizers are fusing favorite components of the evening –such as a high-energy runway presentation featuring professional beauty’s elite brands– with new elements, including an expanded Legacy awards ceremony and “empowering moments” experience. Since its inception in 2012, the Beauty Changes Lives Experience has honored an industry icon whose life demonstrates a commitment to lifelong learning with the Legacy Award. This tradition will continue in 2020 and be amplified with the announcement of two new awards honoring “founding female” and “NEXTGen” rising talent. Paying homage to Beauty Changes Lives’ investment in mentoring, an immersive, “empowering moments” component will connect iconic beauty influencers with event attendees for fast-faced coaching and collaboration.

A New Decade Invites Brands and Professionals to “Make Your Mark”

As 2020 ushers in a new decade, we are infusing the Beauty Changes Lives Experience with fresh elements and energy that empower and expand the Beauty Changes Lives mission. An expanded awards program honoring those who have ‘made their mark’ in the industry will amplify the Make Your Mark national recruitment campaign launching in January,” said Lynelle Lynch, president of Beauty Changes Lives. The campaign is uniting brands to ensure the future of the industry and address the current workforce crisis. “Since 2012, Beauty Changes Lives has awarded nearly 550 scholarships and changed countless lives,” Lynch stated. She added the annual event is a forum to celebrate established legends, professionals achieving new heights and next gen professionals just embarking on their careers.

Brands, salons and individuals representing all facets of the professional beauty industry can support the transformative Make Your Mark campaign at any level. Industry support and individual gifts are integral to attracting more talent to the pathways and possibilities available to licensed professionals and assuring financial support and mentoring resources are available to support the industry’s future.

Beauty Changes Lives Experience tickets will go on sale in December. Sponsorship is available at all levels and brands can learn more about existing and customized support by contacting Beauty Changes Lives Executive Director Lauren Conway at lauren@beautychangeslives.org
