Goldwell National Artist, Steven Picciano, evaluated the model’s natural skin tone and eye color to create a color story, enhancing both with saturated red and copper expressions. Here’s how to create this color as well as styling instructions from KMS Artistic Director, Sonna Brado.
COLOR FORMULATIONS:
Regrowth: Apply 40ml 6% lotion, 25ml 7R0 and 15ml 7RB.
Ends: Apply 60ml Colorance Core Lotion, 20ml 8OR, 10ml 7RO, 3ml Pure Orange and 4ml Pure Yellow.
STYLING STEPS:
Step 1: To smooth and provide heat protection, prep the hair by applying the KMS THERMASHAPE Hot Flex Spray from the roots to the ends.
Step 2: Starting at the nape of the neck, create 1” square sections and apply the KMS THERMASHAPE 2-in-1 Spray and curl using the VARIS 1” Curling Iron.
Step 3: Beginning at the roots, feed the hair through the curling iron, leaving about two to four inches from the ends at random lengths. Clip each curl in place to cool.
Step 4: To give movement and an unexpected curl pattern, alternate the direction of the curls (up, down, left, right) with each section.
Step 5: After the set has cooled, flip the head over and brush the curls from underneath with the VARIS Dressing Brush to create volume.
Step 6: Flipping the hair back, set the look in place with the KMS HAIRSTAY Working Hairspray for flexible hold and movement.
