At Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, TEK announced new sustainability certifications and their intention to continue moving forward.
TEK, the Italian company that has been producing brushes and combs in natural wood since 1977, took the opportunity offered by the presence at Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna to announce that they have entered the vegan movement and renewed their packaging in an increasingly sustainable direction.
“We have always been proud to participate in Cosmoprof, as it is an important opportunity to gain visibility and meet with new markets, while talking about our philosophy”, observed Thomas Valsecchi, CEO of TEK.
TEK has always been committed to respecting the environment and, in addition to FSC® certification, which promotes a responsible management of forests worldwide, for two years the company has also held certification from B Corp®, a community of companies and people whose businesses aim to make a positive impact on society and the environment.
Today, TEK has opted to take another step forward by using packaging in recycled natural cardboard that is 100% FSC® certified while completely eliminating plastic. TEK has also obtained VeganOK certification, the most popular ethical standard in the world that guarantees consumers the absence of components of animal origins in their consumer line of brushes and combs.
“These certifications and the new packaging are two steps that confirm TEK’s commitment to reduce their environmental impact and protect the planet,” concludes Thomas Valsecchi.
TEK is determined to continue in their search for more ecological materials to maintain the currently high performance and at the same time reduce environmental impact.
