Visitor numbers are on the increase as Cosmoprof Bologna becomes an ever more significant reference point for the global hair and beauty industries, not only in Italy, but also from abroad where there’s been a 10% increase in registrations this year.

At Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2019 records were broken both in terms of attendance and exhibitors, with over 265,000 hair and beauty professionals crossing the threshold this year, with representatives from 3,033 companies from over 70 countries.

Market trends indicated much greater attention to sustainability, energy saving and the proper use of environmental resources. These themes were also addressed during over 30 talks scheduled at the Service Centre. On the same subject, a number of installations promoted the use of sustainable materials and other ecological initiatives, such as NO.CO. –NO COMPROMISE– the installation of The Cosmopack Factory project.

Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2019 has achieved an important goal, with over 265,000 cosmetic industry operators, with a percentage increase in visitors from abroad of around 10%,” commented Gianpiero Calzolari, President of BolognaFiere. “This data, together with a record number of exhibitors makes us proud of our achievement, giving us the energy to face the challenge of even bigger projects in the future. Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna reaches out across the world, with events now taking place on every continent: from Asia, North America and India and into the markets of South America and South East Asia, as well as in Europe, after the acquisition of the German ‘Health & Beauty’ group. After making all these important developments we are now ready to broaden our horizons even further, thanks to the support from the Ministry of Economic Development, ICE – Italian Trade Agency, and our partner, Cosmetica Italia. For 2020, new projects are being finalised both in Asia and in Africa. The Cosmoprof platform is going to become even more widespread, in order to better respond to the needs of the companies in our industry.

The associated companies present at the event have recorded a significant increase in the quality of contacts with sector operators,” added Renato Ancorotti, president of Cosmetica Italia. “To respond to this trend, companies have promoted an increasingly targeted offer of products and services, confirming how flexible and  competitive Italian hair and beauty industry is in the international arena. Not surprisingly, exports, up 3.6% to a value of 4,800 million Euros, continue to support revenues, which exceed 11.2 billion Euros, up 2.1% – data confirmed and supported by the positive results already seen by our partner BolognaFiere-Cosmoprof: together we will continue to share the objective of promoting Italian-made products around the world.
