Matrix believes in the future and potential of beauty professionals and since the brand’s inception in 1980 this has been grounded in education.
That is why the brand has partnered with Matrix Global Business Ambassador and television personality Tabatha Coffey to launch the MentorME program this March 2019.
This innovative and exciting new program is designed to develop strong, confident beauty professionals while learning from the best hair stylist talent in the industry.
MentorME will give a specially-selected group of recent beauty school grads all the tools they need to bring their dreams to life. Five, new-to-the-industry stylists, will be selected to receive intense, ongoing, one-on-one coaching and mentoring from Tabatha, as well as from Matrix renowned artists, in the areas of cutting, color, styling, business and personal growth. These lucky next-generation stylists will have the opportunity to join Matrix artists at top beauty industry trade shows and events.
As part of this life-changing opportunity, the MentorME mentees will document their amazing journeys throughout the year on social media inspiring and informing their colleagues on the incredible opportunities offered by hair industry and profession.
“There has never been a program like MentorME. We will be sending five recent grads on a 12-month dream journey to be mentored by myself and the very best Matrix artists,” says Tabatha Coffey, Matrix Global Business Ambassador. “My MentorME mentees will have unprecedented access to tap into all the resources I have – and all the resources Matrix has available. This includes the very best in products, resources, techniques and most importantly, education. We will arm them with everything they need to be successful hairdressers.”
The MentorME selection process is now underway. To be considered for the program, applicants must submit a five minute video submission entry. The video must:
- – Upload a “before” and “after” of a model demonstrating a cut, color, and styling technique.
- – Share their “hair-journey” and tell us how: beauty and hair changed their life.
- – Tell us why they think their unique skills make them the best candidate for MentorME.
“We see MentorME as a way to give back to and grow artists via the very heart of Matrix which is education,” says Matrix Vice President of Education, Martin Dale. “These five individuals will have an experience that no other hairdressers have ever had, and we’re proud to be in the position as a brand leader to provide them this unique journey with Matrix.”
Matrix will be accepting entries now through March 3rd, 2019. Go to www.matrix.com/mentorme to submit and to view full contest details, terms and conditions.
