Microbob: The New Version of the Bob that will Reign in 2019

The bob is one of the most popular styles of our times, no matter the season, but… how does it stay on top of the trends? By simply reinventing itself every time. Now is the moment of the MICROBOB, a lighter and more versatile version, a true must-have in 2019!

As explained by Eduardo Sánchez, Director of Maison Eduardo Sánchez, “We are standing in front of a new variation of the bob, a more portable and adaptable evolution of the classic cut, but at the same time, feminine and sophisticated. Easy to comb and quirky, it is much more eclectic that what is seems and, moreover, makes a successive transition very easy, whether you decide to go to an eye-catching short look, or a lighter bob“.
What is it made of? “It is a cut with straight lines, but done with razor so that it looks more informal and irregular. Then you go to the lengthened graduated look, using thinning shears so the ends move more freely.

Every microbob is a world in and of itself, because its strength lies in its personalization. “The cut is started at the bottom, at the hairline. The front part is adapted to the length, to the hairline, to the direction of how the hair falls, if present. Essentially, there is not cut identical to another one. It is indeed fundamental to adapt it to the features and the peculiarities of the client in your chair.”

To complete the cut, the hairstylist suggests slight highlights, like sunlight, that “add light and dimension to the lengths, but without compromising a natural look.” For styling, “volumizing products are great allies because they make it possible to increase body and texture, giving freshness to the cut.

If you want, you can give a final touch with texturizing products in powder form or wax, that give a casual and natural allure, as well as adding movement, which really flatters this type of haircut.
