Olivia Garden, a leading manufacturer in professional hair tools, is supporting Think Pink Europe with a donation of 25.354 EUR in the fight against breast cancer.
In 2018, the Belgian company had teamed up with Think Pink for the first time to raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness. Olivia Garden launched a Limited Think Pink Edition of its most famous tools – with striking success for a good cause.
Hairdressers all over Europe took the opportunity to get great brushes and shears but also to support charity: for every brush that was sold from the famous NanoThermic Series in a Limited Think Pink Edition, Olivia Garden donated 1 Euro, for each Shear Kit of the bestselling SilkCut Series, 5 Euro were given to Think Pink. As the tools also looked gorgeous in Pink and Rose Gold, it was no wonder they were completely sold out shortly after their release in the Breast Cancer Awareness Month October.
Four clearly stated goals define Think Pink: informing people, raising awareness, financing scientific research and supporting projects involving care and follow-up care – to not give breast cancer any chance.
“The fight against breast cancer knows no borders, which is why different organizations join forces under the umbrella of Think Pink Europe”, Jürgen Vanpraet, managing director of Think Pink Europe, stated. “Together we strive to close the health gap in our continent, to make sure that every person affected by breast cancer has the same chances, no matter their country of residence. We are so happy that Olivia Garden decided to support us both in Belgium and throughout Europe with this wonderful campaign that gives us the means to tackle breast cancer together.”
It lies in the values of Olivia Garden to give back to the community and make people happy, like it is the hairdressers’ everyday goal to put a smile in the face of their customers with the support of Olivia Garden tools.
“We are very glad to be part of the Think Pink movement to raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer”, said Kai Ziekursch, General Manager of Olivia Garden Europe. “The deliberate work of Think Pink all over Europe impresses and inspires us a lot. Now, we are especially proud of our customers, who loved the Think Pink Limited Edition tools so much that we are able to give meaningful support to Think Pink in their name. We can already announce today, that we are looking forward to next year, when we will launch a new edition of special Think Pink brushes and shears again.”
Olivia Garden also supported the organization by providing shears and brushes to hairdressers that are taking part in actions all over Belgium, where women can donate their hair for the making of wigs for breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. This action also took place during big events in October all over Europe for the “Race for the Cure”, the world’s biggest walking and running event in the fight against breast cancer. Next year, Think Pink Europe plans to enhance this message by having all these races on the same day – Olivia Garden will be happy to participate again as well.
