On Hair Show & Exhibition 2018: Creativity, Innovation and Passion

The third edition of On Hair Show & Exhibition, organized by BolognaFiere Cosmoprof and held on November 25th and 26th, incorporated over 100 brands and registered an increase in attendance of 5%.

The latest news from the hair industry, plus many of the most inspirational international teams met in Bologna for two days of professionalism, innovation, creativity and passion. On Sunday November 25th, Rudy Mostarda for Extrema Hair, Team GA Moda Italia, Alfaparf Milano, Mauro Galzignato for Kemon, Elchim & Medavita Artistic Team, Hair Company Professional, Araldica for Farmagan, Schwarzkopf Professional, Anteo Geminiani for Farmaca, Federico Fashion Style, Attilio Artistic Team, Spaghetti’s.

Monday, November 26th saw some cutting-edge presentations by Shot & Gea Academy, I Rastelli Team, Matteo Susini for Loft Hairdressers using Farmaca International, Dei-Mar Academy, Fashion Mix & Xenon Group, Daniele Serretti Group.

As well as techniques, the specifics of color and everyday salon practice, On Hair Educational provided the tools to improve the management of the salon, use social media to the greatest advantage and provide managerial training. Scheduled presentations included demonstrations by Romano Brida for Bullfrog and Igor Rago for GHD Italy, Luca Picchio & Nashi Concept Store, Jerry Rais, Paul Gehring, Davide Pretto for Garage Raw, Michele Rinaldi.

Italian Hairdresser Award

On Hair Show & Exhibition was also an opportunity to meet the winners of the 2018 edition of the Italian Hairdresser Award, a competition dedicated to the best Italian hairstylists. Seven categories were in contention: Best Hairdresser of the Year; Best Avant Garde; Best Colour; Best Men’s  Style; Best Cut; Best Collection; Best Young Talent – in collaboration with Camera Italiana dell’Acconciatura. As well as media and technical experts, this year the jury included major players from the world of fashion, entertainment and music.

Cue Team Estetica

On hand was the team from EsteticaNetwork, who told the story of the event through the eyes of its editorial team, as well as from the viewpoint of three hair-professional influencers: Ajmon Gostoni, ArtDirector of Nashi Salon Milano-Porta Genova, with a long experience with people like Belén Rodríguez; Elisa Salerno and who alternates between hairstyling and modeling work; Raffaele De Girolamo, a long list of VIPs passed under his scissors and again, Stefano Bonomi, the Milanese hairdresser known to the general public for his advice on the Rai2 ‘Detto Fatto’ TV show.

“505 Hairdresser is a Woman”

A press conference and presentation was held in support of this  brand new female network created by 10 icons of Italian coiffure of the last 50 years: Carla Amaducci, Alberta Balestra, Dolores Barbieri, Giusi Bassani, Carla Bergamaschi , Marta and Maria Cò, Elena Kotanidis, Morena Rossi, Marisa Savorelli and Adriana Valles. 505 is not just a number, but the sum of the years of activity of these great professionals, united to raise awareness of role of women in the world of hairdressing.

“In a field where two out of three people are women and where 90% of those who work in a hairdressing salon are women, on the international catwalks, to represent this profession, only men emerge:It’s a questions that needs answering,” commented Roberto Pissimiglia, Publisher and Director of EsteticaNetwork, media partner of the 505 project, which underlined how among the group’s mission there is the desire to sensitise public opinion on the theme.

The 10 entrepreneurs will be on-stage at Cosmoprof Worlwide Bologna 2019, from March 15th to 18th, for two talk whose purpose will be to communicate and disseminate the positive message of the legendary “505”.
