Biolage Brand Partner, Nicky Hilton and Matrix Celebrity Stylist and Ulta Vice President of Salon Services and Trend, Nick Stenson welcomed guests to the Ulta West Hollywood location in Los Angeles.
The day kicked off with Nick and Nicky hosting an exclusive meet and greet with top Ulta stylists hand-picked from the southern California regional area. During that time stylists were able to have one-on-one time with Stenson and Hilton and learn about the new key product launches for Biolage over the past year. In the evening, the event opened to the public and the stylists treated over 100 guests to sweet treats, champagne and complimentary dry styles. After their style they had the opportunity to take pictures and speak with Hilton and Stenson.
Hilton and Stenson also used the event to highlight Biolage R.A.W.’s holiday conservation efforts in partnership with 1% For The Planet. Through the month of December for every online purchase of Biolage R.A.W. Holiday Set, 1% For The Planet will be donating 1% of the proceeds to Conservation International. Conservation International works to preserve fresh water in at-risk locations around the world.
Since joining the Ulta team two years ago, Stenson has been elevating the consumer experience in every Ulta store by empowering the hairdressers who work in the Ulta salons. “We are bringing the human connection to Ulta by making the salon part of the DNA of the stores,” Stenson explains. “Beauty is experiential, and within Ulta we are creating new experiences for the customers, but also for the stylists! We are building career paths for them by incorporating more product education and more opportunities,” Stenson enthusiastically continued. His passion for Ulta is clear as he works one on one with the stylists, teaching how to recreate Nicky’s look of the day. Using the brand new Matrix Blowdry Glotion, Stenson gives the hair structure and mobility creating an effortless look for Nicky’s hair.
At this beautiful launch in Ulta West Hollywood, customers had the chance to play with Matrix’s hot new products and take home a few products of their own. At the end of the launch everyone was selfie-ready for their meet and greet with Hilton and Stenson.
