For this award-winning collection The Beauty Underground was inspired by the influential 1980s electronic band New Order: the energy of their music and the slick glamour of their album covers who were created by the iconic design and image guru Peter Saville.
The Beauty Underground mixed graphic vivid color over strong cuts that were styled in a contemporary disheveled way – as they wanted the looks to have the fun, thoughtful potency of a Damien Hirst painting.
