Hillside of the Santa Monica mountains is where you can find the beautifully designed Wella Studio. A multi level space with an open floor plan and contemporary feel allows for impeccable views of the studio!
No matter where you’re standing, the cutting floor can be seen on monitors throughout the entire space! Kind of like the ESPN Zone so you never miss a second of the game… except now you won’t miss a section, a foil, or that balayage trick you’ve been wanting to learn! This design made hosting the 34th seminar of “Triple Craft – The Art of Color, Cut, Finish, and Transformation” by Stephen Moody @hairmoody, the perfect venue for high quality education presented by Wella Professionals.

The Triple Craft seminar was created to educate stylists in new methods of increasing their client retention and demonstrating the importance of everything you do behind the chair, from understanding body language to showing the cut that will ‘help send your kids to university’ versus the ones that won’t.
Stephen Moody’s methodology differs from other stylists while still boasting a technical standpoint so precise you will leave fully understanding ‘the why’ behind it all. Showcasing some of the industry’s greats, team work prevailed as this incredible stage show progressed. Along with Moody on stage was Colorist Carrera Alvarez (@carreracolor), Sassoon trained mentor and global educator Stanley Newton (@stanleymanley42), LA hairstylist Hilda Flores (@hildafloreshair), hair educator and photographer Nick Berardi (@nickberardi) and the creator of Wella’s Master Styling Program North America, Oliver Shortall (@fearless_fever). Oliver’s program helps stylists replace fear with logic, hence his witty Instagram handle. lt’s even said that some people who have taken Oliver’s course have had their work featured right here in Estetica Magazine… Ahh-mazing!
These talented artists were also showcasing some of their favorite brands like OPI for perfect nails, Sebastian Professional and ghd tools.
To conclude the night with a bang, or shall I say flash, Moody and Nick Berardi gave the 65 attendees an opportunity to photograph the models in Wella’s fully equipped photography studio. Definitely the icing on the cake for everyone! Well except for their swag bag on their way out the door… who doesn’t love free merchandise?!
