NYFW How To: Christian Siriano’s Twisted Locks by Anthony Cole for Sebastian

Christian Siriano’s Spring 2019 collection is inspired by the perfect dream holiday vacation in Hawaii. Chic and elegant, island life inspired bold tropical prints, animal printed organza separates, textured raffia coats and jackets, and bright citrus evening gowns.

Christian wanted the collection to feel playful, colorful, bright, and romantic with femininity, but still powerful and exciting. The collection has movement like a dance at a Hawaiian luau and feels fresh and young for the ever-growing customer.

The Hair Look created by Anthony Cole, Sebastian Professional International Artist

Step 1: Apply Sebastian Professional Potion 9 and Sebastian Professional Trilliant throughout the hair for heat protection and an ultra-sleek and shiny look. Blow-dry in a backward direction.
Step 2: Divide hair into top and bottom sections, splitting at the occipital area and clip bottom section away.
Step 3: Divide top half of hair into 7 sections.
Step 4: Starting from the middle section, apply Sebastian Professional Shine Crafter for moldable definition and begin twisting and adding hair to occipital area. Secure with elastic band.
Step 5: For each twist, wrap hair around the elastic band and secure with hair pin.
Step 6: Flat iron the remaining hair from each twist down to end of the hair and apply Sebastian Professional Shine Shaker throughout for a luminous mirror-shine.
Step 7: Finish with Sebastian Professional Zero Gravity hairspray.
