Pre-nomination is a required condition to participate in International Hairdresser of the Year and International Artistic Team of the Year, but the remaining categories are open to every hairdresser from all over the world!
After the jury’s announcement, International Hairdressing Awards® now announce the shortlist of pre-nominees for International Haidresser of the Year and International Artistic Team of the Year, the two categories of the contest which need a pre-selection to take part. The remaining categories (Best International Men’s Collection, Best International Women’s Collection and Best International Avant-Garde Collection) are open to every hairdresser from all over the world, by uploading a photographic collection, without participation fees.
Now, the hairdressers who have been preselected are invited to submit their entries for these two categories, from 15th June to 3rd September, according to the contest rules (available at www.ihawards.com). And they are…

For the International Hairdresser of the Year category, nominations include individual hairdressers that have won selected national competitions worldwide, and also the winners of other selected global competitions. In addition, individual hairdressers are also nominated with the help of the editors of the international editions of Estetica Magazine, taking into account their career, the quality of their photographic collections and their international educational/artistic during the last year (seminars, shows…).

For the International Artistic Team of the Year, a category that rewards a team that represents a hairdressing brand – not a cosmetic company–, for their educational work, are directly nominated the artistic teams winning in selected national competitions worldwide and also the teams selected with the help of the editors of the international editions of Estetica Magazine, taking into account their career, the quality of their photographic collections and their international educational activity during the last year (seminars, shows…).
The competition
The first competition of the International Hairdressing Awards® is about to start with the collections entries, from 15th June to 3rd September 2018. Two categories need a prenomination to participate: International Hairdresser of the Year and International Artistic Team of the Year. The other three categories are open to every hairdresser in the world to participate.
Once the entry period closes, on 3rd September, the judges will vote the participating collections and on 28th September 2018, the finalists and the Honorary Award will be announced at Salon Look Madrid, where a gallery with the finalists’ collections will be presented. The International Hairdressing Awards® first edition will take place on 3rd February 2019 in Madrid with a glittering show and awards ceremony.
