Global Grace! Top 20 Farouk Looks created at Miss Universe 2017

It takes years of expertise to master the art of stage-perfect hair that lasts hours is not simple, especially when each girl’s look is directed by a team of many behind the scenes. Out of ninety-two women from around the world that participated in the decades-old competition, and we selected our favorite 20 hair moments for the night!

“As someone who has been in the business for decades, I have really enjoyed seeing the progression of what beauty means to women,” said Founder and Chairman of Farouk Systems Dr. Farouk Shami, who was also was one of the judges for this year’s competition. “I look forward to our involvement in the Miss Universe competition every year because I’m always impressed at how well these women truly embody the diversity of the countries they are representing and redefining what we know as global beauty. We are proud of the beautiful women they are and the great things they do for their countries.” 

Eighteen Farouk Systems Global Artists including leading artists Tammy Mixon, Albert Luiz, Julian Macias, Patrick Kalle and Lorena Garcia were backstage helping the women’s vision of their competing look come to life. This year’s Miss Universe edition had the most contestants ever, with the widest variety of cultural backgrounds, demonstrating that CHI is truly for every woman, regardless of hair texture, background or roots.
