Straight from London: The Winners of Wella’s International TrendVision Awards 2017!

We are so excited to share news from Wella Professionals’ 2017 International TrendVision Awards, where beauty is a force that has been lighting up London with amazing shows, blazing smiles and networking amongst the most creative minds in the Wella global family!

The International Trend Vision Awards (ITVA) is Wella Professionals’ most buzzed about event because of the creativity and level of talent it attracts to wherever the annual extravaganza happens to take place. This year, it took place in the very posh London, UK, where we saw electric hair color, whimsical styling and professionals with invincible competitive spirits! Coinciding with Coty Professional Beauty’s commitment to the liberation and the diversity of beauty with a focus on true authenticity, the ITVA is an expression of true globalization of that diversity, expressed though stunningly creative hair.

The 83 stylists and colourists from 44 countries took to the Salon International stage in London to compete for victory in the Color Vision and Creative Vision categories, inspired by the 2017 Trend Vision beauty trends.

The gala, hosted by the iconic Patrick Cameron, was broadcasted live from London and viewers worldwide were able to log into www.wella.com/live to view the show and support their favorites. A celebration of the industry’s most acclaimed talent, the Awards Ceremony was a unifying ending to the show that emits such a global passion in the world of hairdressing.

The spectacle glistened under the lights of the live presentations by globally acclaimed hairstylists such as Marc Antoni, Sanrizz, HOB Academy, D&J Ambrose and Robert Eaton, whose outstanding creativity encapsulated the true spirit of British hairdressing in their joint-presentation, British by Design. This was followed by an ethereal and aesthetically perfect presentation by International Creative Director at Sassoon Academy, Mark Hayes, who explored the theme of Individuality. The team from Sassoon Academy continues to develop and nurture hair design to the delight of hair stylists and colorists worldwide.

Sylvie Moreau, Global President of Coty Professional Beauty, was joined on-stage by Michelle Mason, Senior VP Global Education & Professional Development, who presented this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award to legendary colorist Annie Humphreys for inspiring generations of aspiring hair colorists.

ITVA 2017 presented an expert panel of judges, which included Wella Professionals’ Global Creative Directors Andreas Kurkowitz (Color) and Eugene Souleiman (Styling), media representatives as well as other top international stylists.

And of course, everyone was excited about the very anticipated 2018 Trend Vision collections release. Estetica Magazine was there along the way to document this career-defining event!
