Goldwell Artistic Director, Rebecca Hiele, created a look inspired by a music icon to embrace the fashion of the disco era. The texture finish created by Hiele was inspired by the diffusion of three textures that play with the direction of the hair and allow it to look as if it is in constant floating or moving.
The color created by Hiele was inspired by the dark lights of a night club and the metallic silver, gold and bronze reflections you see as light reflects off sequins.
COLOR:
Step 1: First, to create the disco dark shade, apply 60ml Colorance Cover Plus Lotion + 25ml 4BP + 5ml 3VV.
Step 2: Next, apply accent colors 20ml Elumen SB@10 + 10ml SV@20 + 2ml AN@5, 20ml Elumen NB@10 + 10ml GB@9 + 5ml KB@7 + 1ml Pk@all and 20ml Elumen GB@9 + 10ml KB@7 + 2ml GK@all.
Step 3: Then, process hair for 30 minutes.
Step 4: After, shampoo twice with Elumen Wash and towel dry hair.
Step 5: To finish the color, apply Elumen Lock for five minutes, then rinse and condition with Elumen Treat.
STYLE:
Step 1: First, start by applying Goldwell StyleSign Glamour Whip to towel dried hair.
Step 2: Next, divide hair into four sections.
Step 3: Then, starting at the nape using horizontal sections, us a medium sized VARIS Boar Brush to direct each section while drying to life the root. Repeat until you reach the fringe.
Step 4: After, re-apply Goldwell StyleSign Glamour Whip to dry hair and in larger sections repeat with the medium sized VARIS Boar Brush.
Step 5: Following, section hair into four sections again.
Step 6: After, starting at the nape, in one inch horizontal sections, use the VARIS Micro Crimper at the root with hard pressure and one inch out apply with medium pressure. Then, mist remaining hair with Goldwell StyleSign 4 Big Finish Volume Hairspray at a distance of two can lengths away to not over structure hair.
Step 7: Next, using a VARIS Curler, press at a 90 degree angle with strong pressure in the first two sections. Then, for the remaining of the hair press at a 45 degree angle with medium pressure.
Step 8: Then, finger style the top and sides of hair and back brush softly to the under nape and below the occipital of hair.
Step 9: Finish the look off by spraying Goldwell Style Sign Big Finish Volume Hair Spray to hair for maximum hold.
