Each year, SeriousFun Children’s Network hosts a fun-filled evening to celebrate the global family of camps and programs founded by Paul Newman.
The gala, which took place at Pier Sixty in New York City on May 23rd, 2017, honored Chris Dodd, Chairman & CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America. It was a star studded event, with appearances by Hillary Clinton, Jimmy Fallon, Tom Hanks, Julianna Margulies, and the SeriousFun Campers.
ColorProof Color Authority® is a proud sponsor of SeriousFun Children’s Network, with founders Jim and Cheryl Markham in attendance, supporting this special cause for over 10 years and paying homage to their friend, Paul Newman. In addition, ColorProof donated 500 products and contributed to the charities continuous efforts to create fun and safe environments for children of all circumstances and backgrounds.
Almost three decades ago, Paul Newman started a free camp where kids could escape the fear and isolation of their medical conditions and, in his words, “raise a little hell.” This remarkable concept sparked a quiet movement, and that one camp launched a global network. Today, there are 30 camps and programs serving the needs of children and families around the world.
