A star-studded night in Japan was the backdrop for the beautiful gala ceremony where Japanese spirit met with Intercoiffure Mondial fashion know-how at the 22nd edition of the World Congress that is taking place in Osaka.
Intercoiffure Mondial recognizes the role of members worldwide in a series of inspired events. This is the most prestigious professional hairstylists’ organization in the world and is responsible for hosting a very special World Congress designed for those who have not lost the fascination and obsession of the craft. This, includes press, and this year, Estetica International Network received the coveted Global Press Award given by INTERCOIFFURE MONDIAL – an award for all the people around the world that celebrate hairdressing with ESTETICA every day.
Intercoiffure Mondial President Klaus Peter Ochs presented the award to Sergi Bancells, General Manager of ESTETICA USA, Spain & Latin America, who received the beautiful trophy in representation of the 22 international editions worldwide of the Estetica International Network. For those who love the hairdressing industry: the award is a reproduction of the iconic ‘La Lionne’ statue, created in 1963 by the legendary hairdresser Guillaume.
THE BEST HAIR MAGAZINE IN THE WORLD
“Estetica is the grandest network of hairdressing magazines with over 20 editions worldwide,” said Klaus Peter Ochs. “Estetica International Network and its publisher Roberto Pissimiglia have always been a valuable partner for Intercoiffure Mondial in our mission throughout the years.”
The story of Estetica began in March, 1946 when Mino Pissimiglia founded the magazine in Turin (Italy). These few beautiful pages soon became the most respected magazine in the Italian hairdressing industry, later conquering worldwide markets too. In 1958, the magazine arrived in Japan, in 1962-63 it reached Peru, Latin America and the Middle East, and in 1977 the international Italian/English version was launched. In March 1991, the Estetica International Network project with local editions was announced: it began in the biggest European countries before extending to the USA and Asia. Produced in 22 versions, ESTETICA is now present in more than 60 countries with a circulation of 300,000 copies per issue.
