American Crew, a Revlon professional brand, is partnering with Berklee College of Music’s Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship to host Elvis Legacy Week, which will partially focus on how developing a distinct personal style, like Elvis did, is crucial to success within the entertainment industries.
Music Makes an Artist, Style Makes an Icon. There are many trademarks that come to mind when you think of Elvis Presley, “King of Rock and Roll” ; his music, his culture, but mostly his style. Mr. Elvis Presley made his mark with his perfectly coiffed, jet black pompadour – a style that quickly made him a heartthrob to women and a style benchmark for young men.
This weeklong celebration (April 3-7) will showcase Elvis’ entrepreneurial prowess and foresight in building an illustrious brand.
Last year, American Crew made a bold and iconic move by announcing a limited edition men’s grooming product line showcasing Elvis as the face of the brand; a homage to the influence Presley still holds over men’s style and grooming. As part of this weeklong celebration, American Crew will be hosting styling workshops, teaching students about building their own personal style and providing complimentary makeovers highlighting the importance that personal style and grooming has on turning an artist into an icon. On Wednesday, April 5, David Raccuglia will star an American Crew Style Talk/Panel from 1-3:00 PM EST.
