Because men’s hair and scalp concerns differ from women’s, men need products and services specifically formulated for them. Aveda salons offer a holistic experience for men to get the right hair cut and color service for them, and to help them learn how to style their hair with customized product recommendations from an expert Aveda Artist.
Soon, Aveda will be opening new Aveda Men Shops, both within existing salons and as freestanding destinations. The new concept, designed exclusively for men, offers the best in guy’s grooming and maintenance, merging traditional barbering with a distinctively Aveda twist. They will have a special service menu, including treatments such as beard detail, and hair removal (for ears, brows and nose). And in typical Aveda fashion, a Stress-Relieving Neck and Shoulder Ritual accompanies traditional treatments, like a basic cut or trim. Boy’s cuts are also available. Services may vary from location to location.
And because men place such a high value on speed, Aveda Men Shops will operate much like a fast-paced barbershop where they can walk in and schedule an appointment through a self-serve kiosk, see how long the wait time is, and add themselves to a list for the next available barber, or for the barber of their choice. Appointments are scheduled in five, rather than fifteen-minute increments (since men’s grooming goes faster than women’s) and men can also monitor their place in line and receive a text when it’s appointment time. After the service, they can buy Aveda Men Pure-Formance™ products and check out from the comfort of the barber chair on an iPad.
