Hair on Stage 2017 by Davines – Next Stop: Santiago de Chile!

Taking place in Santiago de Chile and featuring the best of international hairstyling on stage, this Davines event is about all learning, sharing and striving for excellence.

The two-day Hair on Stage show, featuring outstanding international and national stylists, is a unique opportunity to meet creative hairdressers on the same wavelength, exchanging trends, ideas and projects within an arena dedicated to beauty: a value interpreted by Davines as harmony, good taste and individuality. After San José, Havana and Lima, it is time for Santiago de Chile to take its turn. The capital city, famous for the imposing Andean peaks surrounding it, is the perfect setting for discovering new trends and breathing in the Davines spirit.

International Davines stylists will be opening the show, which is taking place in one of Latin America’s most famous cultural spaces: the Centro de las Artes 660, a centre for music and theatre, which also boasts prestigious works of art. The person everyone will be waiting to see is the brand’s Artistic Director, Angelo Seminara, appearing for the first time in Latin America. The recent winner of the prestigious British Hairdresser of the Year award will present his latest collection, Star Icon, unleashing his creativity: a perfect balance between nature and femininity.

The English team Allilon Education, founders of the London-based Davines academy of the same name, will be taking turns on stage to present their creative research, strongly focused on the technical aspects of cutting and colouring.

South African stylist Candice Wyatt-Minter is also on the line-up. With architecture, design, nature and music as her sources of inspiration, she will be taking to the stage to present “POW” her latest collection, bursting with pop style.

Within this whirlwind of bright lights and high emotions, Canadian stylist James Abu Ulba will also be exhibiting as part of the international Davines Artistic team. His growing expertise and profile led him to win the Davines World Style Contest in 2012, with the most important magazines in the sector publishing many of his collections since then.

The event will feature many Latin American stylists, represented by S2 Accademy and Paco Jiménez. First up are Ignacio Valle and Cristopher Maldonado, fresh from the Bellas Artes di Santiago area, who will focus on male styles and trends, a hairstyling sector growing in interest and demand. Last but not least, a stylist known on the Mexican hairstyling scene for his expertise and creativity, Paco Jiménez develops his own collections, always inspired by modern women, using the latest trends and his surroundings as creative sparks.

In the middle of these two days of events, the traditional Davines-style Party will be an occasion for sharing, with music, fun and cultural fusion at its heart; it is an opportunity to make the most of the community spirit and the relationships between the participants.
