LBP’s EmpowHERment Project promotes the Leadership of the Industry’s Most Talented Women

Luxury Brand Partners introduces the EmpowHERment Project—a series of gatherings, networking opportunities and mentorship programs that help promote the empowerment, equal influence and leadership of the hair industry’s top women.

The initiative will focus specifically on women in front of and behind the chair, whether they are colorists, stylists, CEOs, marketers or salon owners, and will ultimately help define steps that are actionable and result in real change.

There has been an awareness of the disparity in women’s recognition, influence, pay and opportunity for a while now, but social media has given people a place to talk about it—and they absolutely are,” said Lyndsey Bardnell, LBP’s Vice President of Strategic Projects and Industry Development and President of the EmpowHERment Project. “This program will leverage regional grassroots events and the power of social media to create and foster a supportive, collaborative and action-driven community across all ages, genders, skill levels, roles, brands and locations.”

The EmpowHERment Project encourages the community to share stories of powerful women by posting a photo or video story of the women who have inspired them using #followHERFriday and tagging @empowHERment.project. Additionally, #getempowHERed will also be leveraged to encourage the community to post photos, feature quotes from inspirational women and share thoughts on the movement and why it’s important.
