A truly unique occasion: six internationally renowned hair fashion designers present their interpretations of the classic looks from the history of coiffure. This was Estetica Master Parade, organized by Cosmoprof and ESTETICA Magazine at On Hair Milan Edition 2016.
Great coiffure and huge emotions. On Sunday, October 23rd, Estetica Master Parade brought together 6 top international hairstylists on stage in Milan On Hair Edition by Cosmoprof. A stage event of the very highest calibre to celebrate 70 fantastic years of Estetica Magazine, with each expert hair designer giving his own interpretation of one of the trends featured in The Art Book “Ultimate Collection” by ESTETICA.
Angelo Seminara for Davines: Volume
Welcome to Wonderland, the earthly paradise that Angelo Seminara has created for us. In full harmony with nature, colors and subtle natural nuances are stolen the plumage of the birds and the beauty of flowers. Huge volume, creative ripples, unexpected shades. On-stage Angelo thanked Estetica and Cosmoprof, recalling that it was in the pages of Estetica that images of his earliest creative work had first been published.
Mark Hayes for Sassoon: The Bob
Poetica was the title of the show presented by Mark Hayes, who presented a strict yet fully emotive interpretation of the classic bob, saturated with colors and a high-gloss to compliment clean, geometric lines.
Klaus Peter Ochs for Intercoiffure Mondial: Blonde
Arctica. A name that evokes the translucency of ice – ever associated with the true platinum blonde as well as being a very original way deliver a subtle environmental message on behalf of Planet Earth! Snow queens took to the stage in a full blonde spectrum from rich and elaborate up-dos to the most chic of bobs.
Tony Rizzo for Sanrizz: Geometric
Gravity was the key word for this show: hair with strong compact volume, that finds its essence and its specific weight in the complexity of geometrics. Tony Rizzo recalled that the winner of the Visionary Award for Cut and Colour was the Italian Pino Troncone, and that the next edition of the event will be held in Italy.
Marco Iafrate and Akos Bodi on behalf of Anthony Mascolo for TIGI: Fringe
Replacing Anthony Mascolo, who was unable to attend, the Creative Director of TIGI Italy, Marco Iafrate and the European Creative Director, Akos Bodi brought the wonders of the fringe to the stage in a colourful and futuristic version with echoes of oriental flavour. Anthony Mascolo gave a warm greeting by video-link in which he emphasized the importance of Estetica to the hair industry: “It is a magazine which has given me so many wonderful opportunities to have my work published.” He went on to wish Estetica and its publisher, Roberto Pissimiglia, all his congratulations for the 70th birthday celebrations.
Salvo Filetti for Compagnia della Bellezza: Updo
Salvo Filetti brought to the stage the fable of the harvest. A butterfly woman flies onto the catwalk showing an voluminous plaited updo. She joins her alter-ego Isabel,wearing a long blue ponytail, With this rich poetic image Salvo Filetti celebrates 70 years of Estetica and haute coiffure.
Each with of the 6 talented protagonists was able to recreate the trends that have shaped the history of hair fashion and which will continue to do so for decades to come. This was a tribute to Hairdressing with a capital H, a sentiment conveyed by Estetica’s Publisher, Roberto Pissimiglia, in his closing statement: “We are confident that we can safely call Master Parade the biggest hairdressing stage event of 2016.”
