Spanish Celebrity Stylist Mikel Luzea celebrated the 20th anniversary of his brand together with Revlon Professional. During the event, there was a presentation of the documentary ‘Mikel Luzea, 20 años de ilusión‘ (Mikel Luzea: 20 Years of Dreams), which provides an overview of Mikel’s entire career, as well as a presentation of his new collection ‘Erak‘.
More than 500 people, including clients, colleagues and friends attended this moving commemorative event which served as a starting point to launch ‘Erak‘, the brand’s new collection, and for the exclusive premiere of the documentary ‘Mikel Luzea, 20 años de ilusión‘ (Mikel Luzea: 20 Years of Dreams).
Supported by Revlon Professional and with his artistic team by his side (Ione Erice, Alberto Manchado and Alicia Nájera), Mikel Luzea expressed his thanks for the trust placed in him by his clientele over the last twenty years. In that time, Mikel Luzea has managed to position his brand as an industry benchmark both in Spain and internationally. The event was also attended by Mikel Luzea’s professional colleagues, the media and his colleagues on the Board of Directors of Club Figaro, a non-profit organization that Mikel has presided over since it was created. Representing Revlon Professional, the company that Mikel Luzea has been working with exclusively since 2012, were Charles Waters, General Manager of Iberia, Ángela Venegas, Marketing Director of Iberia, Albert Sanromà, National Sales Director, and members of the Marketing and Sales team.
The documentary ‘Mikel Luzea, 20 años de ilusión‘ is a journey through Mikel’s career since he started off in London right up to the present day. It is explained through the comments of colleagues and friends who have been part of his intense professional career. The event was topped off with the presentation of the ‘Erak‘ collection, a purist proposal at technical level with the focus on texture in the form of curly up-dos and asymmetrical cuts. Mikel Luzea will be presenting the collection in Madrid, London and Panama this autumn.
Mikel Luzea was born in Pamplona in 1967 and is now an indisputable benchmark in creative Spanish hairdressing. A hairdresser since he was 19, Mikel received training in the first part of his professional career in the United Kingdom, where he acquired British technical precision and his own unmistakable style. In 1996, he opened his first salon in Pamplona, now an obligatory stop for those seeking exclusive treatment and top-level hair-care services and image consulting. Mikel soon embarked on the adventure of opening new establishments to consolidate the company that bears his name as the hairdressing leader in Navarre.
He has a notable presence in the Spanish and international press and at industry events. With good reason, Mikel Luzea is also one of the Spaniards who participates in the Alternative Hair Show, the world’s leading charity hairstyling event. This year, Mikel will participate in the event for the fifth time. For the last four years, Mikel has been the President of Club Figaro, a non-profit organization made up of leading Spanish hairstyling firms, and he works to promote the profession’s prestige and recognition.
