On Sunday afternoon, June 26, 2016, MOP haircare products, the cult classic hair brand, relaunched with a grassroots street team at NYC Pride Parade.
In honor of pride, MOP gave 25 percent off all purchases and donated 25 percent of all proceeds to the One Orlando Fund with discount code “LoveIsLove.”
MOP believes in an inclusive, never exclusive, community and hopes to foster this ethos as a brand by aligning with the LGBTQ community. Street team models took photos with Modern Original People at the parade who embodied the MOP lifestyle and also handed out branded stickers printed with the powerful phrase “Love Is Love,” while spreading the word about MOP’s launch and upcoming donation to the One Orlando Fund.
In addition to the afternoon Pride festivities, MOP hosted top online media at the largest NYC Pride fundraiser, Dance on the Pier! Celebrating its 30th year, the event brought the best musical acts from around the world, with show headliner Fergie and a surprise video appearance by Hillary Clinton. Media in attendance were treated to the ultimate VIP experience and the night wrapped up with the world’s longest running LGBTQ fireworks display over the Hudson River.
