How-To: AnnaLynne McCord’s Healthy Blowout by Joico Celebrity Hairstylist Paul Norton

The radiant AnnaLynne McCord showed up to host the together1heart Charity Launch Party at the Sofitel Los Angeles with hair styled by none other than Joico Celebrity Hairstylist and Spokesperson, Paul Norton.

To accentuate her gorgeous smile and complement her flowing, and easy breezy satin-mauve Hayley Paige ensemble, Paul chose a simple ‘do with the perfect products to unlock the luster in her blonde and let her inner beauty shine through too, for what was a night close to McCord’s heart indeed. The event was the launch of the together1heart organization aimed at putting an end to the abusive sex trade in Cambodia, and after her 8-year crusade to end sex trafacking in the region, she not only served to host the evening for the organization but is now its CEO.

GET THE LOOK:

Step 1: Treat the hair with Joico Luster Lock for 3-7 minutes from roots to end. Exclaims Norton, “This is just what you need to instantly repair damage from color-treated hair or damage of any kind, plus give you an amazing shine and super slip. All you need is one use and you’ll wonder where this has been all your life!
Step 2: Apply a quarter size amount of Joico Heat Set to already damp hair from mid-shaft to ends. “This product is great to extend the life of your blow-out (or at-home blow-drying) – so it was perfect for AnnaLynne’s evening in the limelight,” says Norton.
Step 3: Then apply a quarter size amount of Joico JoiWhip only at the root and then brush through with a comb or a flat brush.
Step 4: In sections from the bottom to the top begin to blow dry using a large boar bristle round brush, or a metal brush if your hair is more resistant to holding body and bends.
Step 5: At the crown or “Mohawk” section, grab horizontal sections of the hair working your way back away from the face and blow dry straight up and out from the head rolling each section down and allowing it to cool on the brush for more body and volume.
Step 6: Spray the ends with Joico IronClad and gently run the flat iron over the ends as you bevel the ends under, leaving them slightly round. “I used IronClad here for extra protection against the heat of the flat iron,” explains Norton.
Step 7: Lastly, finish with Joico Flip Turn for a slight bouncy hold.

Voila! An easily attainable, gorgeously flowing look that added healthy shine and luster to her hair and highlighted her beaming smile and joyful spirit!,” said Norton.
