Getting an inside peek into a high-profile personality is a treat, and that is exactly what Ruth Roche, Global Artistic Ambassador for Pureology, does in her Chair Side interviews. When Roche asks Price about his success, he replies, “It’s important to create your own success regardless of affiliation with a salon or manufacturer. You have to invest in yourself – do as many collections, photo shoots and fashion weeks as possible to hone your skills… and work with as many amazing people as you can… they will all teach you something. When all else fails, turn to fashion… because fashion is fantasy,” says Price. “It would be terrible to be a flash in the pan – it takes a long time to develop a scope of experience and for your relationships and skills to be worthy of being at the top of your game. People who get there too quickly usually fizzle out,” he adds.
Tips on Being a Good Leader
1. Be generous.
2. Understand that when you build a team of strong individuals, it doesn’t diminish you, you become stronger.
3. Highlight the positive qualities in people that they don’t even realize they have.
