Last night, Estetica USA was in the beautiful NYC summer in the Wella World Studio where Sebastian Professional united stylists and beauty professionals to showcase their outstanding Autum Winter 2016 Collection: Eclectic!
The night opened with North American Director of Education at Sebastian Professional, Christina McCarver and the Eclectic looks were created on site by the amazing Sebastian Professional Artists Omar Antonio and Michele Catalanello. Their inspiration? A world without labels or limits where liberated individuals connect across cultures to go against the grain of convention. Omar & Michele crafted the Eclectic looks onstage and showed their skills and innovations for the coming season. Textures were juxtaposed, coexisting within each unexpected look. Rough and smooth, braided and undone, simplistic elements from a ponytail to a twist were deconstructed and rebuilt into striking three-dimensional shapes using metal, leather and even wooden accessories.
THE ECLECTIC AW16 COLLECTION – ZERO CUTS. UNLIMITED STYLES.
Hair, fashion and body art fuse in a celebration of all things eclectic. The ordinary is twisted and given new purpose. Iconic products mix and match in unexpected ways, as Sebastian Professional Global Art Directors Michael Polsinelli and Shay Dempsey test the limits of self-expression. “If you look at the youth, the confidence that they have nowadays is very reflective on their spirit or their attitude or even their appearance. Their mindset is so free, they’re not worried, they’re not really worried about labels. We wanted to project what we thought our future millennial would be, break it down, reshape it, reconstruct it and put it back out there and see how far we can go with it,” says Michael Polsinelli, Sebastian Global Art Director.
For Eclectic, Sebastian partnered with world-renowned tattoo artist Maxime Büchi to release an exclusive Limited Edition of some of its most iconic styling products. Exclusively distributed in selected Sebastian salons, the limited edition celebrates the stories and characters of the most loved Sebastian stylers among which are Craft Clay, Potion 9 and Dry Clean. Maxime Büchi explored the stories and characters of Sebastian’s icons and designed 6 unique tattoo designs all stamped on a series of 6 collectable gift boxes available in salons from September 2016 in a limited quantity.
During last night’s presentation, Christina McCarver also introduced the NEW Sublimate Hair Creme that will be launched in September. Sublimate joins the iconic line-up of Sebastian breakthrough products such as Re-Shaper, Cellophanes, Potion 9 and Eruptek. This invisible finishing crème is the supreme finishing touch to all hair styles. The combination of flexible polymers and lightweight emulsion enhances the style with cashmere-smooth shine, tamed flyaways, definition and anti-frizz control. If applied during the day or on the second day will renew shine, refresh the style and re-define the hair appearance.
