The brand’s color range COLOR.ME even offers ammonia and PPD-free, PETA approved formulas with natural ingredients like rose hip, shea butter, pomegranate and honey. KEVIN.MURPHY packaging is 100% recyclable and the company has partnered with key organizations including Al Gore’s The Climate Reality Project, PETA and Green Circle Salons to help bring about awareness and action for important environmental causes.
Within the hair industry, KEVIN.MURPHY’s environmental efforts have made a significant impact. The brand’s recent partnership with Green Circle Salons has allowed KEVIN.MURPHY to help guide salons in managing waste sustainably. Through the nonprofit everyday by-products like hair clippings, aluminum foils, color tubes and applicators for innovative reuse and eco-friendly recycling.
As a Green Circle Salons partner, KEVIN.MURPHY has helped sustainably manage 6,178 pounds of liquid waste and 67,948 pounds of solid waste, including 20,000 colour tubes from COLOR.ME salons, for a total of 74,126 pounds of waste that has been diverted from landfill spaces and water streams across North America in 2015.
