Detached shapes continue to be a fundamental element of current hair trends, but the shapes are being flipped upside down. The undercut is giving way to tiered layers where detachment lives on the upper surface to honor the 70’s aesthetic of taller leaner shapes.
The cut has a tier of short detachment through the crown area and a collapsed neckline created by draping another area of hidden detachment through the nape area. The effortless multi-textured finish is created by layering Redken fashion waves 07 from base to mids with Redken outshine 01 through the ends for polish. The Sam Villa Light Professional Ionic Blow Dryer was used to hand dry the shape to establish a lived-in imperfection, and then the ends were finished with the Sam Villa Signature Series Styling Brush for a polished modern surface.
