Shout Your Beauty! A Night to Remember with the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation

The beauty industry’s elite came together last night for the unforgettable Beauty Changes Lives Foundation’s Legacy Experience at the Soldier Field Stadium, Chicago, where Beauty Changes Lives honored Dr. Howard Murad and its mission to elevate perceptions of careers in beauty and wellness.

The event, hosted by the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation (BCL) in partnership with America’s Beauty Show by Cosmetologists Chicago and Pivot Point, paid tribute to the founder of Murad, LLC and a pioneer in creating the inclusive health movement. Dr. Murad is the first skin care professional to be honored with the BCL Legacy award. Previous award recipients include Vidal Sassoon (presented posthumously in 2012), Tippi Hedren (2013), and Leo Passage (presented posthumously in 2015). Dr. Murad, a long-time supporter of the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation, and Murad, LLC sponsored the first BCL scholarship exclusively for skin care professionals.

I am extremely honored to be this year’s recipient of the Beauty Changes Lives Legacy Award. Beauty Changes Lives is such a wonderful organization and, on behalf of everyone at Murad, I would like to say we are proud to support such an important mission,” said Murad.

Beauty Changes Lives Foundation’s Legacy Award Presentation was followed by the hallmark of the evening—“Shout Your Beauty!”—an evocative runway presentation powered by Pivot Point celebrating beauty industry NEXTGEN talent, mentored by well-known beauty icons.

BCL has inspired brands to pay forward their success through mentoring the next generation,” said Beauty Changes Lives President Lynelle Lynch. “Freedom of expression, interpreted by diverse artists and brands, is a key part of the message that will resonate at the BCL Experience. Young people have grown up with social media and the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas across a variety of platforms.”
