On Monday, February 22nd, the CHI Partner School Program aligned with the Klein ISD Cosmetology Schools by participating in their Klein Educational Symposium.
At the event, Farouk Systems contributed with presentations, class room instruction, product and haircare education and a styling booth for students.
The symposium was held at Klein ISD’s Multi-Purpose Recreational Center with over 119 junior and senior level cosmetology students from their other high schools within the district. The students were given the opportunity to view a professional hair show recreated by Farouk Systems Creative Artist Team members: Melissa Reyes, Eliaz Sanchez and Ruben Marin. During the show, the artists demonstrated achievable updos and formal hair styling using CHI Haircare and tools.
As an added highlight, Farouk Systems Show and Education Director, Beverly Zunke served as a guest speaker sharing various aspects of professional hair shows as well as her role within the company. Also on hand was social media specialist, Nicole Cebulak who provided students with an in-depth knowledge for creating their own hair branding utilizing popular social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. She illustrated tips for the students to help them organically grow and create their own brands.
Throughout the remaining day, alternating student groups broke out to various classrooms and were invited to attend individualized educational course overviews taught by key professionals.
They were educated on integral points for marketing themselves within the beauty industry as future successful stylists. Also, students were invited to attend the CHI booth where they were given the opportunity to be styled by educational artist Ruben Marin and Melissa Reyes.
As an added bonus students received giveaways while learning more about CHI’s new product launches such as the CHI Line Extension and the BioSilk Rock Hard line.
