It’s Not Just Hair: Big Shows come to Denver for Fashion Week 2016

This spring, Denver Fashion Week kicks off on April 6th with the 2016 Southwest Hairstyling Awards, hosted by 303 Magazine and one of the most recognizable faces in the North American salon industry: Charlie Price.

Honoring the most talented in the Colorado and Southwest hair industry, this year the Southwest Hairstyling Awards will feature some noteworthy industry names receiving momentous awards:

Ted Gibson – Celebrity Hairstylist of the Year
DJ Muldoon – Independent Platform Artist of the Year
Tabatha Coffey – Lifetime Achievement Award

As if that’s not enough, Ted and his team will also be presenting a finale runway show to wrap up the evening and then, with Tabatha, announce the winner of the Southwest Hairstylist of the Year award. It’s sure to be quite a closing for the evening!

An exciting supplement to this first evening comes in the form of Ted’s private Look and Learn class, taught on the following day –April 7th– from 10 to 11:30am! This class is for trade only, as he will share his experiences as an accomplished Editorial Stylist. At only $175, it’s a rare opportunity to learn from a stylist so high in demand by the world’s most beautiful and famous women.

Following these two fantastic starts to DFW comes the Spring 2016 Hair show on April 10th, hosted by Mia Liguori McHugh and Eden Sassoon. Additionally, the event will feature presentations from DJ Riggs and Berry Bachen of MainEntrance Artists. Described as NAHA darlings; Fashion Week and editorial veterans; and hair industry Tastemakers, you can expect a great event from start to finish.

Berry Bachen will also feature the following day, April 11th, at BOUDICCA – Haircolor and Makeup Masters LIVE presented in conjunction with The Beauty Underground. Hosted by Mia Liguori McHugh and Eden Sassoon, Berry will be joined by 10 other iconic American Female Platform Pros for what is sure to be a memorable and grand finish to Denver Fashion Week. This event is exclusively designed for career hair and makeup artists, and for a $350 investment, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Eden Sassoon’s Beauty Gives Back, in support of The Thirst Project. Be inspired and support a great cause, simultaneously.

All events will be held at City Hall Event Center in Denver. Tickets are now available at 303magazine.com, with early bird pricing currently in effect – so, act swiftly. As Charlie Price puts it:It’s not just HAIR – it’s EVERYTHING!
