Bellus Academy has been honored with a renowned international beauty education award – the Intercoiffure Mondial Best Continental Academy – North America Region!
Bellus Academy owner and President Lynelle Lynch accepted the award on Saturday, September 5, during the Night of Stars gala held at the Salle Wagram in Paris. Celebrating the 90th anniversary of Intercoiffure Mondial, the gala attracted nearly 600 elite hairdressers and beauty brands from 56 nations.
The “Best Continental Academy” award recognizes beauty and wellness schools around the globe that have achieved a demonstrated record of excellence in educating future hairstylists. “Intercoiffure Mondial represents the best education in our industry,” said Klaus Peter Ochs, president of Intercoiffure Mondial.

Upon accepting the award, Lynch credited Bellus Academy educators for their commitment to educational excellence, and noted how the academy’s educators serve as role models for lifelong learning. “At Bellus, learning is a lifelong journey for educators and students alike. We’re especially excited that seven of our educators recently earned BCL Leo Passage Postgraduate Scholarship opportunities that will help them take their career to new levels while providing new insights for the future professionals they’re educating and the licensed hairstylists they train at industry events,” Lynch said.
The Intercoiffure Mondial Night of Stars was followed by a Fashion Day 4th edition event celebrating the fusion of fashion and beauty. Lynch noted that Bellus Academy will celebrate fashion and beauty during San Diego Fashion Week’s “Beauty Behind the Fashion” event on Thursday, October 1, at the Valencia Hotel in LaJolla.
