Get the Look: NYFW Libertine’s Out-All-Night Texture by TIGI’s Thomas Osborn

Libertine’s Spring/Summer 2016 hairstyles were inspired by the more polished side of an undone, care-free look, says Thomas Osborn, TIGI US Creative Director. Learn how to recreate the style with Catwalk by TIGI!

The severe side-part, combined with a gentle buckled wave, is soft, casual and allows for movement. It’s a refined ‘out all night’ look – with a touch of volume at the crown,” says Thomas Osborn, who led the TIGI International Creative Team in the backstage.

Libertine’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection is one of the most exuberant collections to date. Inspired by diverse sources including German artist Blinkly Palermo, Tibetan Buddist Monks and Florescence microscopy cell research, the collection remains true to the brand’s bold graphics and revolutionizing-old-school-classics aesthetic.

Get the Hair Look!

1. Prep hair with Catwalk by TIGI Blow Out Balm to achieve smoothness and shine. Using the tail end of a comb, create a severe side-part.
2. Blow dry hair with a round brush, lifting the hair at the roots and smoothing through the ends to create volume at the crown. Direct hair forward toward the face for the side swept effect.
3. Next, take small sections of hair and fold around the air concentrator of the dryer, to achieve the “buckled” texture. Then, using duckbill clips, pin along the folds of the hair and lightly mist Catwalk by TIGI Work It Hairspray to set the look.
4. To finish, separate and loosen the hair with fingers and use a soft bristle brush to tease hair at the crown.
