The shimmering colors of dawn have been distilled into this stunning new hair collection from Davines, leaving women shining like the rising sun.
For Artistic Director Angelo Seminara, woman is a goddess, and he has decided to glorify her by evoking a material of great symbolic power. Balanced between the human and the divine, Gold is not a color: it shines like the sun with wellbeing and maternal warmth, constantly drawing from life’s greatest and highest powers. In all ages and cultures, gold is associated with the sacred and the gods. In ‘Goldess’, the divinity of the goddess is melded with its material embodiment, gold.
The heart of ‘Goldess’ is its color – warm but metallic. The effect is innovatively created using expertly mixed cool tones that emphasise the warmer shades in a harmonious blend of both. Yellow gold, pink gold and copper hues shine through this collection, shimmering across the hair as it moves.
To create this effect Angelo Seminara, along with Edoardo Paludo, International Creative Colour Ambassador, has used the Flamboyage technique with permanent colours from Mask and A New Colour in the latest blonde tones (10.22 – 10.12 and 10.77) already available on the professional market. The effect is a homage to the first rays of sunlight, still imbued with traces of night, and the soft pink glimmers of dawn.
Goldess is inspired by Aurora, the goddess of Roman mythology who brought the dawn. Aurora is a modern goddess in her complexity, poised between night and day, darkness and light, sleep and wakefulness, death and rebirth.
Goldess women embody the same modernity. The cuts purposely recreate a grown-out look, emphasising the simplicity and softness of different lengths. The styling also looks natural – slightly deconstructed, very young and modern, with a touch of romantic elegance.
