Monday Biz Tips! 3 Questions That Improve Salon Communication

Incorporate a daily debrief into your training program and prevent conflict! Training new talent takes considerable courage.

Typically, successful stylists who build a high demand on their time are also responsible for training new hires. It is a wonderful experience, but can become the source of conflict if you do not establish a safe way to address wins and losses.

We suggest spending five minutes at the end of EVERY shift asking the trainee to report on the following statements:

  1. 1. What worked well today?
  2. 2. What did not work well today?
  3. 3. What will we do better or differently tomorrow?
