Wella Education & Bellus Academy, a Partnership Committed to Salon Industry Professionals

Wella Education and Bellus Academy continue to elevate an essential industry career path: Educator.

True to form, Wella Education continues to “Collaborate, Innovate and Accelerate” with the recent addition of two Bellus Academy instructors to their Education team, Carrera Bailey and Erik Thrane.

Bellus Academy’s dedication to excellence in education is undeniable.” said Fabio Sementilli VP of Education for Wella, the Salon Professional Division of P&G. “We are grateful for the long-time partnership between Wella Education and Bellus Academy and the opportunity it creates for long-term career paths within our industry.”

Carrera Bailey started at Bellus as a part-time educator in 2010, growing with the company to become a lead educator. As her career progressed, she became the Academy’s Color Director and finally Academy Director at Bellus’ newest location. While at Bellus, she was approached by Wella to become a brand educator and quickly moved up to be recognized within Wella as one of the top 10 stylists nationally. On weekends, Carrera trained established salon professionals and mentored her students at Bellus during the week. Excited now for her new role with Wella as the Field Education Capability Manager for the West Division, Carrera will continue to inspire salon professionals and help others master their artistic skill.

Erik Thrane graduated from Bellus Academy in 2009 and spent two years in the Industry independently. He then returned to Bellus as an educator in 2011. He quickly became a top educator for the Academy, as well as a Wella educator. Erick is passionate about educating salon professionals and changing lives through beauty. In his new role with Wella Education as Field Education Trainer for Southern California, he will still be able to provide the latest innovations, techniques and trends to Bellus Academy students.

Always committed to the elevation of salon professionals, Bellus Academy Founder and President Lynelle Lynch was the first to congratulate Carrera and Erik on their new positions. “This is a great example of providing educators with opportunities and at the same time highlighting that the role of the educator is an important career that can provide unlimited potential.” said Lynelle. “While it is very sad to see them leave the day to day at Bellus, we are thrilled to see their incredible accomplishments in the Industry and look forward to supporting them in their new roles.”
