Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna is over again, after a record-breaking event! More than 240,000 visitors arrived, +20% on 2014.
Visitor figures hit more than 240,000 this year, with 79,000 from abroad (a 30% increase on last year). Cosmoprof Worldwide 2015 closes its doors with satisfaction after four intense days. With 2,493 exhibitors (70% of whom arrived from abroad), this event was a true business opportunity for industry companies and professionals. Other numbers were high too: 1,070 journalists (Italian and foreign), 540 bloggers, and over 100,000 followers on social networks with 2,200,000 new contacts in the last week alone.
“The huge success of Cosmoprof, which brings the global industry of cosmetics and the beauty world to Bologna (Italy), is truly exceptional,” said Duccio Campagnoli, president of BolognaFiere. “First of all, for our country but also for the city; this success points to an economic upswing in Italy and a strong interest from abroad in this country. This was a really international Cosmoprof, an ideal launch (as we mentioned at the inauguration event) to the upcoming season which features Expo 2015.”
“We had 27 country pavilions. These included the U.S., French and Polish representatives who were visited by their countries’ respective Ambassadors in Italy. Our international platform, which includes Las Vegas and Hong Kong, will be enlarged in September with Cosmopack New York, part of the non-stop expansion of Cosmoprof around the world.”
Campagnoli continued: “L’Oréal was back at Cosmoprof this year with a hugely effective commercial and communicative impact. And we also made our partnership with Expo 2015 official: Cosmoprof will participate in this project after years of dedication to the exhibition of natural/biological products and encouragement of manufacturing processes moving towards eco-sustainable practices. We will wholeheartedly support our exhibitors, offering them the chance to take part in this huge international event with product exhibition at the Parco della Biodiversità and events, meetings and congresses in the auditorium “Theatre at the Centre of the Earth”, both of which are managed by BolognaFiere.”
The usefulness of Cosmoprof’s International Buyer Program as a networking tool for companies and buyers from leading international distribution chains in the beauty world was again reconfirmed. Over 500 top buyers arrived from 51 countries to take part in 2,185 B2B meetings scheduled with exhibiting companies at Cosmoprof and Cosmopack.
Cosmopack, the dedicated event for the production chain sector of the beauty industry, also enjoyed great success with 420 exhibitors from 33 countries.
