Product of the Month: Blondor Freelights, feel the freedom!

Wella Professionals introduces the newest edition to the award-winning Blondor family designed to revitalize, modernize and personalize each client’s look, Blondor Freelights.

The new Freelights system has been specifically developed for freehand techniques, a-la Hairpainting™, to create effortless sunkissed looks, without the use of foils. Today, the hottest trend in lightening clients’ locks is less about bold, solid colors and more about refined natural tones. With the ability to transform clients’ hair color into natural, soft, sunkissed strands, freehand techniques such as Balayage provide the most irresistible results!

Freehand hairpainting™ is an artistic coloring technique where hair color is painted onto the hair to create depth and dimension. It is used as an alternative to foil highlighting and creates more natural-looking effortless results. Freehand looks accentuate the natural hair flow and are based on the shape of the cut, giving the end result a truly personalized feel. The delicately blended color variations balance beautifully and naturally for an alluring individual statement. Freehand hairpainting™ isn’t just for blondes; it’s perfect for brunettes that want a soft gentle flow and gradation providing a more natural looking color result, as if it had been created by the sun.

Wella Professionals Celebrity Color Ambassador Jennifer J. explains her need for Freelights. “Hairpainting allows me to hone in on my artistry and vision of where light or a peek of sun-kissed hair best compliments my clients cut and facial structure for a better overall look, creating something truly unique and personal. Hairpainting results can range from very subtle, natural, youthful and can be dialed up to become something very creative and expressive. I love creating stone washed blonde colors that look chic and effortless, which Freelights does beautifully.

The new Freelights range consists of the Freelights lightening powder and Freelights developer to be used as a system in order to activate the polymers in the mixture. These polymers connect one with the other and form a network structure called the Actifuse® Network. This network is flexible and adhesive, making application easy and ensuring that the formula stays in place, enabling colorists, to place color exactly where they want it, with no foils in the way. Freelights can be used on natural and pre-colored hair and provides up to seven levels of lift. In addition, patented tools including an ergonomic paddle and angled brush have been especially designed for Freelights to help control and place the mixture exactly where needed.

With the new Blondor Freelights lightening system blonde is back, brighter, lighter, and better than ever. Freelights is the latest of many innovations intended to give colorists the ability to pick and choose products that fit their client’s hair type while achieving unparalleled results. Primary color lines include: Koleston Perfect (Rich, opaque permanent), Koleston Perfect Innosense (Vibrant permanent color for ingredient conscious clients) ILLUMINA Color (Luminous, sheer permanent color), Color Touch (Demi-permanent color) and Blondor (Lightener). The Brilliance collection for color-treated hair should be used in tandem with color services for best results.
