Uber-Cool Looks! Cosmetologists Chicago introduces ‘Jet-Setting’ Collection

Taking inspiration from around the globe, the Cosmetologists Chicago photo trend team creates rocker-chic, uber-cool looks in its ‘Jet-Setting‘ collection for Spring 2015.

The fashion statement is rocker-goes-romantic, and the hair vibes are soft textured and chic. These are looks to be worn by headliners, the in-crowd, and girls who just want to have fun.

In describing the collection, Co-Director Karen Gordon, of J. Gordon Designs, Chicago, notes, “Jet-Setting is sexy, but romantic; it’s chic and fashion forward. We saw a trend leaning towards the 70s during Spring Fashion Week, but not in a retrospective way. Jet-Setting styles provide a new, chic response to the straight hair we’ve seen for years.”

“We’re such a multicultural society now,” adds Gordon, “Hairdressers and clients want more texture in the hair to reflect that. Clients don’t want to take away the natural texture of their hair. They want touchable, soft hair… that looks cool, is sculptural and moves.”

The Cosmetologists Chicago 2015 Photo Trend Rock Star Team includes:

The past four years Cosmetologists Chicago has invited more than 20 hairdressers and 20 assistants from salons throughout Chicagoland to participate on the Photo Team, leading to the development of both the ‘Hi-Wi’ and ‘Androge’ collections, and now ‘Jet-Setting’.

“I really enjoyed being a part of this shoot,” noted John Gialluisi while on set. “From the 70s inspired trend, which was right on point, to the team that was great to work with and our collaboration with the photographer Babak. It was an awesome experience!”
