4 Beautiful Golden Globes’ Color Formulas recreated by Joico’s Denis de Souza

Last week’s 2015 Golden Globe Awards was an evening of recognition for standout creative performances, with honors to new-comers and veterans alike.

But Joico Celebrity Colorist Denis de Souza has some awards of his own! With so many hairstyles reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour, a la Veronica Lake, haircolor was showcased and shining as brightly as some of the glittering designer dresses on the red carpet! His picks for best haircolor of the evening, along with his formulas to achieve them, are:

REESE WITHERSPOON’S PERFECT HOLLYWOOD BLONDE

This shade is rich and classic,” says Denis. Just as classic as Hollywood itself – and it was just that last night with the side-swept waves, as was the trend on this year’s red carpet – “it’s perfectly suited for the red carpet!

JULIANNE MOORE’S YOUTHFUL RED
Julianne’s red is her signature and it’s always on point,” says Denis. “It’s natural-looking, yet very youthful with a fiery tone that works so beautifully with her milky skin!” With a shimmering Givenchy silver-sequin and feather ombré gown, the vibrant red haircolor popped against the silvering high-shine at the top of her gown and balanced the same with her skin tone.

Rosamund’s fashion choice, a Vera Wang white gown, whose revealing cut may not have suited her perfectly, may not have been adored by all, but her haircolor was undoubtedly, flawless. De Souza explains why, “Lots of tiny, delicate highlights recreate the sun-lightened color that she probably had as a child,” comments Denis. “The blended, natural effect was beautiful on the red carpet!”
