Intercoiffure, the most popular and influential organization within the hairdressing industry, recently held its amazing Intercoiffure North America Fall Atelier in New York City.
The show this year was an extraordinary artistic event that highlighted the latest releases for this fall. In case you missed it, the two day, membership only meeting was trendsetting, and inspirational to say the very least. With topics such as “#Selfie,” “Fashion Frenzy,” or “The Well Groomed Man,” there was something for everyone!
A few note worthy highlights were that members got the chance to learn the art of “Selfie!” taking by the Intercoiffure World President Klaus Peter Ochs. Also to hit the stage, Vaughn Acord and his V76 by Vaughn Team showcased how hairstylists can completely transform the everyday man into “The Well Groomed Man.” By taking real men and adding technique and product Vaughn demonstrated how stylist can transform a look instantly “from uptown to downtown, work to play, country to city.” Also to take the stage was the “Fashion Frenzy” Student Competition and the amazing presentation given by hairstylists Peter Gray, Bobbi Russell and Lance Courtney for EasiHair Pro.
The two day event continued with extraordinary “Architexture” show by Woody Michleb sponsored by Wella Professionals and “It’s Personal” given by industry icon Anthony Mascolo and the TIGI Creative Team. The celebration could not be complete without first given the “Icons of Color” award that was received by hairstylists Sonya Dove, Roy Peters, Gina Kahn, Beth Minardi, Sue Pemberton and Kris Sorbie. A special tribute was also given to Paula Kent Meehan with the ‘Light the Way Award’ presented to Ann Mincey, and the show finished with a presentation by master hairstylist Orlando Pita sponsored by Kérastase, including a demonstration from two looks he did for the Carolina Herrera Autumn/Winter 2014 and Spring/Summer 2015 Collections.
