A weekend defined by the glitz of French glamour and the sophistication of Parisian chic saw Joey Debrincat from Foxy Hair Salon in Melbourne, Australia, crowned king of the La Biosthetique International Beauty Stylist Awards 2014!
Paris is the cultural and spiritual home of La Biosthetique, so the perfect location for the brand’s “big event” – La Biosthetique International Beauty Awards 2014. Finalists from 23 countries worldwide came together at the VIP Room, one of the French capital’s most frequented celebrity hotspots, for a nail-biting build-up to what resulted in victory for Joey Debrincat, representing Australia.
Joey wins a prestigious prize package, which involves a return-trip to Europe in 2015 to tour as part of the La Biosthetique Artistic Team under the guidance of Alexander Dinter, Creative Director for La Biosthetique. In fact, Joey got the opportunity to meet with Alexander, as it was he who presented Joy with his 2015 winner’s trophy alongside celebrity UK hairdresser and showman, Andrew Barton.
As well as the evening event at the VIP Room, guests has also been welcomed at the uber-trendy Parisian haunt, The Yoyo Club for a spectacular early-evening show illustrated by imagery of three of the great international icons of French fashion: Coco Chanel, Jean Seberg and Josephine Baker.
The team then went on to recreate 3 iconic hair looks with a contemporary take on color:
Brigitte Bardot: A modern take on her classic look. Sun kissed blonde shades, champagne, beige, caramel, honey free-hand Balayage coloring technique ranging from soft to flamboyant.
Jean Seberg: The spirit of the 50s and 60s with soft delicate rose blonde and a lighter more powdery effect on the tips.
Jane Birkin: Beautiful soft rich glossy velvety brown – the trend leader in hair color this season.
