The leading UK industry event welcomed hair and beauty professionals to London’s elegant and cutting-edge ExCel Centre in Docklands.
Salon International is, as always, an unmissable event – the 3-day event continues to draw in the crowds from both the UK and overseas. For many of its younger visitors –particularly the students who flock to ExCel for Salon International’s third and final day– it’s not only a trade show, but an extraordinarily precious learning experience, as many of the stands feature their own educational presentations, where the latest cutting and styling techniques can be observed and learned, all for the modest cost of an entry ticket. In terms of teaching demos, the larger contributors and famous names such as Toni&Guy, TIGI, The Fellowship For British Hairdressing and BaByliss naturally draw in the biggest crowds, but the quality of work and expertise on some of the smaller stands is equally as high.
Exhibitors such as Aveda, meanwhile, offered a more “hands-on” tactile experience –they even had space set aside for their experts to provide visitors with their highly relaxing “rituals”– back, neck and hand massages, while sipping a cup of their superb aromatic tea! Takara Belmont was also a must-see stand, except that ‘seeing’ didn’t seem quite enough – who could resist having a sit in one of their beautiful, fully-mechanised barbering chairs, which have the power to incline, recline, rotate and… send you into a lovely relaxing sleep!? As always, Salon International also provided visitors with the opportunity to preview the finalists’ collections at this year’s British Hairdressing Awards – a walk the the specially dedicated Gallery is an experience not to be missed.
Committed regulars at Salon International include, of course, our fantastic, hard-working team from Estetica Network! Thank you to all the many hundreds of you who passed by our stand to experience our beautiful publications and to learn more about our international brand!
