After the recent unveiling of their beautiful new brand image, Goldwell continues with what is proving to be a huge year, with the announcement of the three Global Color Zoom Competition Winners for 2014 in Berlin.
The three-day event encompassed creativity, celebration and inspiration with a series of Look & Learn seminars, stunning shows and awesome parties – plus the announcement of the Global Color Zoom Winners ’14.
On Sunday 12 October, Station Berlin, provided the venue for the announcement of the Global Color Zoom ‘14 Winners. Cory Couts, Global President of Kao Salon welcomed the audience before John Moroney, Global Vice President of Education introduced the new Color Zoom ’15 collection, Traditional Rebels – a combination of three distinctive trends: Elegant Edge, Style Clash and Reinvented Tribal.
All 75 national Color Zoom Competition finalists from 28 different countries competed live and simultaneously in three categories: Creative, New Talent and Partner. The challenge was to recreate their photographic interpretation of the Reallusion trend collection live on a model in just three hours, and turn out the most important work of their career.
The international jury was made up of hair, fashion and beauty experts from around the globe including Mark Leeson, one of the biggest names in British hairdressing, Benni Tognini, Australia’s most awarded hairdresser & Maggie Mulhern, Fashion Director of Modern Salon.
It was then time to announce the global winners. The finalists paraded onto the huge catwalk stage with their models and waving country flags, before the announcement of the three global winners who had demonstrated the most astounding hairdressing skills during the competition:
- Lok Chan from Hong Kong in the Partner Category – for stylists who have already worked for Goldwell at shows or seminars.
- Lidia Malez from Russia in the New Talent Category – for creative colorists with less than five years of professional experience.
- Hardy Tsai from Taiwan in the Creative Category – for color creations using Topchic, Colorance and Elumen – for experienced colorists.
The winners will now become part of the Global Color Zoom Creative Team, joining the Color Zoom Master Team to create the 2016 trend collection. They will experience an international photo shoot, and become ambassadors for Goldwell’s Color Zoom, travelling the world and enjoying global PR opportunities.
