Électrique experiments with a short style, enhancing the textural integrity of the hair in various forms to produce an eclectic interpretation of style based on the one cut.
“For the styling of the hair I wanted to play around with different textures so I created a dry to wet look, almost like she decided to jump in a pool after her night out,” says Mary Alamine. The distinctive chromatic hue of greyish blue is bold in it’s presentation, encouraging different tonal reflects depending on the use of light, shadow and texture within each individual image. A darker blue at the roots, faded through to the mid lengths and ends to creates a subtle contrast similar to distressed denim.
“Électrique captures an edgier look that is entirely wearable. I wanted to inspire other hairdressers to take a risk in the salon and step out of their comfort zone.”
