Wahl Clipper Corporation’s Professional Division will be holding its annual educator training August 17-18 in Rosemont, Ill.
The Wahl Education and Artistic Team (W.E.A.T.) will gather to participate in hands on training, learn about new products, listen to speakers and learn about Wahl’s next big rollout.
“It is W.E.A.T’s turn to roll up their sleeves, turn on their tools and learn,” says Laura VanderMoere, Director of Education in the Professional Division at Wahl. “This is the one time every year where the team gets together to share stories, experiences, ideas and learn what will be new with Wahl tools, trends and techniques for the future.“
Twenty educators from Florida, South Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, New York, Missouri, Illinois, Montana, Washington, California, Texas, as well as Canada will gather for the 2-day event. They will discuss current trends as well as those for the coming year. Wahl will also showcase its new products, including a cordless clipper with long battery life.
VanderMoere, along with Lance Wahl and David Raccuglia will speak at the event. Raccuglia will be speaking about The Men’s Method, which will focus on men’s cutting techniques that are designed around introducing the clipper and men’s considerations to the cosmetology school curriculum. Attendees will then have an opportunity to train in this style with hands-on experience.
“W.E.A.T. is a very close team that share a common respect and passion for our industry and education, as well as for each other. While there is a lot of laughing going on, deep down we are all serious about our responsibilities as educators,” says VanderMoere.
W.E.A.T. is a 17-member group of industry professionals that are the leaders and educators for Wahl. They are highly trained and technology advanced artists capable of instructing any skill level. Their goal is to provide student and licensed hair professionals with clipper education, and they believe that education is the key to a stylist’s success.
