You are invited to a unique, family-friendly fundraiser on April 27 in California! While you’re enjoying yourself, you’re helping the Beauty Bus provide free beauty and grooming services to the chronically or terminally ill and their families.
This mission is at the core of what we’re about as beauty professionals. In the words of one volunteer, “Beauty Bus brings its clients dignity, beauty, joy, some pampering and the gift of knowing they are special.” Its youngest client is 3 years old. Most of them are on fixed incomes. All are suffering (or caring for someone who is suffering) from ALS, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, cancer, stroke and other select neuromuscular and motor neuron diseases.
The Beauty Bus Foundation will be honoring Deborah Carver, President/CEO of Creative Age Publications at this year’s Beauty Drive and some of their corporate partners sponsoring the event are: Bosley, Jafra, It Factor, Aloxxi, In Styler and Pravana. This unique “orange carpet” fundraiser event benefiting the Beauty Bus Foundation offers a family friendly afternoon of BBQ plates from StoneFire Grill, complimentary beauty services for men and women, Kid’s Korner, raffle, and a fabulous silent auction all housed in the spacious Wallis Annenberg Building at the CA Science Center.
